MESSAGES WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 10:00PM
-Message 1's issued for the entire District will be allowed to expire at 10:00pm, as the threat for heavy rainfall has come to an end.
-After widespread strong to severe thunderstorms over the District this afternoon, storm coverage and strength is starting to wane at this hour. Storm motion has increased significantly behind today's upper-level disturbance, which will limit potential rainfall totals from tonight's addition showers and thunderstorms.
-Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to continue well into the evening and early overnight hours, with the best chance for precipitation over the District persisting until about 2:00am.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Showers and thunderstorms will produce rainfall amounts between 0.05-0.40 in 10-30 minutes.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: A stronger thunderstorm of training of storms cells results in rainfall up to 0.80" in 30-60 minutes.
