- | Low pressure system passing to the N through Wyoming and Montana today will result in breezy S/SW winds and generally dry conditions across the District. Temperatures this afternoon will peak in the low to mid 80's over the plains with S/SW winds of 10-20mph and gusts to 30mph or more possible. Strongest winds will be over southern and eastern areas of the District. The breezy winds and low relative humidity values in the teens will elevate the fire danger today. |
- | Any shower or thunderstorm activity is expected to remain to the W and N of the District but a stray high based shower or weak thunderstorm cannot be completely ruled out. If a shower or weak thunderstorm does manage to develop only light rain showers or sprinkles will be possible. |
- | This evening a cold front will move through but conditions expected to be dry as the front passes. Overnight lows will dip into the 40's most areas. |
A LOOK AHEAD: Behind the frontal passage this evening temperatures will be cooler on Saturday in the 70's over the plains with 60's in the foothills. Conditions will be dry through much of the day with the tail end of the low pressure system passing to the N likely producing a few rain showers or thunderstorms Saturday evening and overnight. Heavy rainfall is not expected.
