Time: 820 PM Fri July 21, 2023 Forecaster: Brad Simmons ------------------------- MESSAGE 1 Flash Flood Prediction Program ------------------------- **** LOW IMPACT FLOODING **** PRIORITY DISSEMINATION RECOMMENDED We have determined that low impact flooding is likely in ARAPAHOE COUNTY including: THE CITY OF AURORA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ from: Current to 945 PM . Prime time for flooding: Current to 930 PM . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Forecast rainfall: Moderate to strong thunderstorms will have the potential to produce rainfall rates of 0.4-1.0" in 10-30 minutes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The most likely areas to be impacted by flooding are: X Urban streams/gulches; road crossings; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; floodplain properties; utilities X Urban streets, intersections, low lying areas, known trouble spots ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Additional Information: Excessive runoff is imminent or already occurring in Arapahoe County and the City of Aurora.
