We have determined that low impact flooding is likely in Arapahoe County
including: the City of Aurora

from: Current to 530 PM.
Prime time for flooding: Current to 500 PM.

Forecast rainfall: Typical showers and isolated thunderstorms will produce a 0.10-0.50” total in 10-30 minutes. A moderate to strong/severe shower/thunderstorm will produce 0.50-1.50” total in 10-30 minutes.

The most likely areas to be impacted by flooding are:

X Urban streams/gulches; road crossings; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; floodplain properties; utilities

X Urban streets, intersections, low lying areas, known trouble spots

Additional Information: Excessive runoff is imminent or already occurring in Arapahoe County and the City of Aurora. A strong, stationary thunderstorm, or training of thunderstorm cells will have the potential to produce up to 2.25” total in under 60 minutes.
