Time: 456 PM Tue July 26, 2022 Forecaster: Laura Smith ------------------------- MESSAGE 1 Flash Flood Prediction Program ------------------------- LOW IMPACT FLOODING PRIORITY DISSEMINATION RECOMMENDED We have determined that low impact flooding is likely in ARAPAHOE COUNTY including: THE CITY OF AURORA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ from: Current to 615 PM . Prime time for flooding: Current to 600 PM . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Forecast rainfall: Moderate to strong thunderstorms will have the potential to produce rainfall rates of 0.3-0.9" in 10-30 minutes. A slower moving thunderstorm or briefly anchored thunderstorm may result in up to 1.5" of heavy rainfall in 45-60 minutes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The most likely areas to be impacted by flooding are: X Urban streams/gulches; road crossings; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; floodplain properties; utilities X Urban streets, intersections, low lying areas, known trouble spots ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Additional Information: Excessive runoff is imminent or already occurring over portions of Arapahoe County, including Aurora.
