FLASH FLOOD WATCH
The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for: the following counties: Arapahoe, Denver, Adams, Douglas, Broomfield, Jefferson, Boulder (City of Boulder affected, Four Mile Burn Area affected)
including: DIA, the City of Aurora, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood

from: 600 PM to 900 PM SATURDAY. The National Weather Service in Boulder has issued a Flash Flood Watch for all areas of the District and is valid from 600 PM this evening until 900 PM tomorrow night(7/31/2021).
Prime time for flooding: Current to 900 PM SATURDAY.

Forecast rainfall: Moderate to strong thunderstorms will have the potential to produce 0.6-1.8" of heavy rain in 10-30 minutes. A strong slow moving thunderstorm will have the potential to produce up to 3.5" in 45-60 minutes. Storms that persist beyond 60 minutes may produce locally higher amounts.

X Mountain streams & floodplains; road crossings; canyon roads & highways; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; fishing access points & stream reaches; buildings near streams; utilities

X Urban streams/gulches; road crossings; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; floodplain properties; utilities

X Urban streets, intersections, low lying areas, known trouble spots

X Mountain locations subject to mud/rock/debris slide
