We have determined that street and small stream flooding is possible in the following counties: Arapahoe, Denver, Adams, Douglas, Broomfield, Jefferson, Boulder (City of Boulder affected)
including: the City of Aurora, DIA, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood from: Current to 800 PM.
Prime time for flooding: Current to 730 PM. Forecast rainfall: Typical showers and thunderstorms will produce 0.10-0.50" total in 10-30 minutes. A moderate to strong thunderstorm will have the potential to produce 0.50-0.80” total in 10-30 minutes. The most likely areas to be impacted by flooding are:

X Mountain streams & floodplains; road crossings; canyon roads & highways; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; fishing access points & stream reaches; buildings near streams; utilities

X Urban streams/gulches; road crossings; recreational trails; adjacent open space areas/campgrounds/parks; floodplain properties; utilities

X Urban streets, intersections, low lying areas, known trouble spots

X Mountain locations subject to mud/rock/debris slide

Additional Information: Strong stationary thunderstorms, or training of thunderstorm cells could have the potential to produce up to 1.60” total in 30-60 minutes or less.
