comments: No hail pad deployed.
A few very slight dents in cars.
Larger hail was noticeably non-spherical (not conical either), but more like a flattened sphere or lens-shaped; sizes above refer to the larger 2D circular diameter, while the 3rd dimension thickness was about 1/2 the diameter.
Seems like about equal amounts of precip (0.73" total) due to rain and hail. Open 4" gage collected 0.73", while adjacent 4" gage with funnel/inner tube collected only 0.64" due to some hailstones bouncing out. Most hail occured in about 8min, most of the precip in 12min, with total precip duration 20-25min.

comments: Very loud with hail hitting the north windows and side of house. strong winds subsiding after the first minute or so. Animals were very upset. And very strange sounding muffled continuous thunder from well before the storm began to several minutes after --from the sound I;n assuming pretty much all lightning was in cloud until it passed Then maybe one or two CG strikes

Notes: Wow -- a furious storm with very strong winds as rain began gusts likely near 50 mph with near zeo visibility for about 90 seconds. likely severe undercatch of rain at that time but observed rainfall rate was still over 5"/hour for a few minutes. Hail bgan just about 3:01pm and lasted 3 minutes == loud and furious initiallly coming in at a 7o degree angle. Thought it wouldbreak our north facing windows from how it sounded, but no stones were quite big enough. See hail report to follow. Almost certainly a significant undercatch but still a lot of rain majority fell from 3 - 3:08 pm
