At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Peetz to 3 miles east of Midway to 6 miles
southeast of Last Chance, or along a line extending from 12 miles
southwest of Sidney to 7 miles northwest of Akron to 29 miles north
of Limon. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms along
with brief heavy rain and small hail.
Locations impacted include...
Sterling, Akron, Merino, Iliff, Peetz, Thurman, Anton, Prewitt
Reservoir, Proctor, Padroni, Atwood, Elba, Platner, North Sterling

.A strong ridge of high pressure to our south combined with an
increase in westerly flow aloft will bring higher fire danger to
much of the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Winds will increase late
Tuesday and remain gusty at times Wednesday. The winds will
