* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including
the following areas, in east central Colorado, North and Northeast
Elbert County Below 6000 Feet/North Lincoln County and Southeast
Elbert County Below 6000 Feet/South Lincoln County. In northeast
Colorado, Washington County.
* WHEN...Until Midnight MDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread thunderstorms will develop this afternoon into
early this evening. The storms will be capable of producing
very heavy rainfall, up to 3 inches per hour possible. The
greatest threat of flash flooding will be in Eastern Elbert,
Lincoln and Washington counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

At 738 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Midway to 4 miles north of Elba to 6 miles
southwest of Arickaree School, or along a line extending from 18
miles east of Fort Morgan to 10 miles south of Akron to 26 miles
north of Flagler. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
