STREET FLOODING POTENTIAL
We previously determined that street and small stream flooding is
possible in the following counties: BOULDER (CITY OF BOULDER
AFFECTED), JEFFERSON, BROOMFIELD, DOUGLAS, ADAMS, DENVER, ARAPAHOE
including: DIA, THE CITY OF AURORA, ARVADA, WHEAT RIDGE, LAKEWOOD

Prime time for flooding: Current
to 230 AM

Forecast rainfall: Typical showers and thunderstorms will produce
0.10”-0.40” total in 10-30 minutes. A moderate to strong
thunderstorm will produce 0.40”-0.80” total in 10-30 minutes.
An anchored moderate thunderstorm, or training of moderate to strong
thunderstorms will have the potential to produce 1.60” in under 60
minutes.

Additional Information: Strong thunderstorms may also contain hail,
gusty winds, and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning. Excessive runoff
and flooding of small streams and low-lying areas may occur.
