The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM MDT this morning.
* VISIBILITIES...One quarter mile or less.
* TIMING...Areas of dense fog will continue across portions of
northeast Colorado through 8 am Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS... If driving...slow down...use your headlights...and
leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BROOMFIELD...NORTHWESTERN ADAMS
AND EASTERN BOULDER COUNTIES UNTIL 715 PM MDT...
At 637 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
eastern Broomfield, or 15 miles north of Denver, moving east at 25
mph.
Penny size hail and winds in excess of 35 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Thornton, eastern Westminster, Broomfield, northern Commerce City,
Northglenn, Brighton, Lafayette, Louisville, Erie, Federal Heights,
Fort Lupton, Dacono, Barr Lake and Todd Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
