At 226 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Dacono, or 21 miles north of Denver, moving northwest at 15 mph.
Penny size hail will be possible with this storm. Hail may
accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel. This storm will
move over Interstate 25 between highways 52 and 66, or between
the Erie and Longmont exits.
Locations impacted include...
Longmont, Erie, Firestone, Frederick, Dacono and Niwot.

.A strong Pacific system will push over the area tonight and
tomorrow to bring colder temperatures and lowering snow levels.
The snow line will be around 9000 feet around midnight then lower
to near 7500 by sunrise, raising back up to around 8500 feet
Tuesday afternoon. Snowfall rates of up to an inch and a half per
hour may occur this evening under a more convective pattern, then
slow back down through Tuesday afternoon. Flow will favor heavier
amounts along the Front Range Mountains, especially Tuesday.
