...WINTER COMING BACK TO COLORADO TODAY...
.A storm system will spread snow into the mountains and from north
to south across eastern Colorado today. The snow will diminish on
the plains late Wednesday night and in the mountains Thursday
morning. The heaviest snow will be in the mountains north of
Berthoud Pass. On the plains, areas north and east of Fort Morgan
will be favored along with areas near the foothills. There is also
potential for a band of heavier snow elsewhere, but this is still
uncertain. Snow amounts will be 2 to 6 inches in most areas, but up
to 18 inches in the higher mountains north of Berthoud Pass.
With snow beginning during the day today, driving conditions may
deteriorate substantially around rush hour this afternoon and
evening.
