...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MONDAY TO 11 PM MST
TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations between 10 and 20 inches. Winds gusting as high as
60 mph.
* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass, Rocky Mountain National Park and the
Medicine Bow Range, and The Mountains of Summit County, the
Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks.
* WHEN...From 6 AM Monday to 11 PM MST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel may become very difficult due to heavy snowfall
on roadways and low visibility in blowing snow. Visibilities may
drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The worst
conditions are expected Monday night and Tuesday morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Roads will be slick resulting in slow and hazardous travel. Allow
extra time to reach your destination.
Consider altering your travel plans. Heavy snowfall is expected to
make travel very difficult to impossible.
