At 928 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles north of Hot Sulphur Springs, or 59 miles west of Fort Collins, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, brief heavy rain and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... East Troublesome burn scar, Trail Ridge and Grand Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Brief heavy rainfall, up to 0.25 inch in 30 minutes could produce minor flooding in the East Troublesome burn scar. In addition, prepare for sudden gusty winds.
