through 1100 PM MDT...
At 1010 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
southwestern Lakewood, or 12 miles west of Denver, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...Half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Denver, western Aurora, Lakewood, southern Thornton, southeastern
Arvada, southern Westminster, northern Centennial, western Commerce
City, northeastern Littleton, eastern Northglenn, Englewood, Wheat
Ridge, southeastern Golden, Greenwood Village, Evergreen, Federal
Heights, Sheridan, Morrison, Idledale and Tiny Town.

* At 815 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over northeastern
Denver, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Arapahoe, east central Denver and southwestern Adams

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following
counties, Adams, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver and Jefferson.
* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban areas is occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 803 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of
rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Northern Denver, northwestern Aurora, northeastern Lakewood,
Thornton, southeastern Arvada, Westminster, Broomfield,
Commerce City, Northglenn, Brighton, Wheat Ridge, Lafayette,
Louisville, Erie, Federal Heights, southwestern Denver
International Airport, Todd Creek, Barr Lake, Edgewater and
Mountain View.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of
small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage
areas and other low lying spots.

western Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, northeastern Jefferson, western
Adams and eastern Boulder Counties through 815 PM MDT...
At 750 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mead to Denver, or along a line extending
from 20 miles southwest of Greeley to 55 miles north of Colorado
Springs. Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Denver, western Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster,
northern Centennial, Longmont, Broomfield, Commerce City,

a line extending from 3 miles southeast of Buckhorn Mountain to near
Idledale, or along a line extending from 10 miles west of Fort
Collins to 16 miles west of Denver. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
