At 749 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles east of Conifer, or 20 miles southwest of Denver, moving
southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

At 657 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong outflow winds along
a line extending from 3 miles north of Thornton to Aurora to 5 miles
southeast of Watkins to 4 miles south of Strasburg, or along a line
extending from 34 miles south of Greeley to 10 miles east of Denver
to 57 miles north of Colorado Springs to 43 miles northwest of Limon.
Movement was southwest at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following
county, Douglas.
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1121 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Northeastern Castle Rock, Parker, The Pinery, northeastern
Castle Pines and Ponderosa Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
