URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Denver CO
1206 PM MST Tue Nov 26 2019
...MAJOR WINTER STORM EXITING COLORADO...
.The snowfall intensities will continue to decrease during the
afternoon as the storm system moves into Kansas. Gusty northerly
winds will continue to create blowing snow and poor visibilities
with speeds up to 30 mph on the eastern plains. The winds and
falling snow will produce drifting snow and limiting visibility at
times. The blizzard warning however, will be downgraded to a
winter weather advisory as the winds and visibilities are
marginal.
Travel along the Front Range and in northeastern Colorado is
strongly discouraged until conditions improve later today. Major
highways and roads are closed east of Denver. Travel may be

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Denver CO
411 AM MST Thu Nov 21 2019
...VERY SLIPPERY CONDITIONS EXPECTED IN THE FOOTHILLS AND WESTERN
PORTIONS OF THE DENVER METRO AREA THIS MORNING...
.Overnight, weak upslope flow and a moist airmass that is only
slightly cooler than the freezing point combined to produce areas
of freezing drizzle, which fell after last evening's snowfall. The
freezing drizzle has been limited to areas in and near the
foothills of Boulder, Jefferson and Douglas Counties, although
some icy conditions have also been reported to the west of I-25 in
the Denver area. The freezing drizzle will continue adding to any
icy surfaces for the next couple hours. Motorists should give
themselves extra travel time for this morning's commute. Scraping
ice off car windows may also take longer than normal. By late
morning, road temperatures should warm enough to reduce the
slippery driving conditions.
