* WHAT...Small stream flooding and potential for mud flows caused by
excessive rainfall is possible in the East Troublesome burn scar.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Colorado, including the
following county, Grand.
* WHEN...Until 515 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding and mud flows are possible along CO-125
in the central part of the burn scar.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 255 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
CO-125 in the East Troublesome burn scar. Buffalo Creek,
Denver Creek, Willow Creek, and Kauffman Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks, streams,
and ditches in the East Troublesome burn area. The heavy rains could
also trigger rock slides or debris flows.
