THURSDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12
inches with some areas seeing up to 15 inches. Winds could gust
as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Mountains and High Parks of North Central Colorado.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, which is in effect
from noon to 8 PM MDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no
longer in effect.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 241...245...246...247 and
249.
* Winds...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Timing...south to southwesterly winds will increase and become
gusty during the afternoon on Tuesday. Record to near record
temperatures in the lower 80s combined with low humidity
levels below 15 percent after 12 pm.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 13 percent.
* Impacts...New fire growth may start and spread rapidly and
result in dangerous fire behavior.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring....or expected to shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

At 717 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Roggen, or 26 miles southwest of Fort Morgan,
moving southeast at 15 mph.
Pea sized hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Weld
County.
