* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including
the following areas, in east central Colorado, North and Northeast
Elbert County Below 6000 Feet/North Lincoln County and Southeast
Elbert County Below 6000 Feet/South Lincoln County. In northeast
Colorado, Washington County.
* WHEN...Until Midnight MDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread thunderstorms will develop this afternoon into
early this evening. The storms will be capable of producing
very heavy rainfall, up to 3 inches per hour possible. The
greatest threat of flash flooding will be in Eastern Elbert,
Lincoln and Washington counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

At 134 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
The Pinery, or 20 miles southeast of Denver, moving northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous
travel.

Southeastern Aurora, southeastern Centennial, northeastern Castle
Rock, Parker, The Pinery, Franktown, Ponderosa Park and northeastern

* At 113 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Cameron Peak Burn
Scar. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the far northern portion of the Cameron Peak burn
area. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other
loose materials.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms in and around
the Cameron Peak Burn Scar.
