northeastern Denver and northwestern Adams Counties through 245 PM
MDT...
At 204 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout tornado near Platteville, or 17
miles south of Greeley, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts possible, winds in excess of 40 mph, and penny
size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Landspout tornadoes can damage mobile homes, roofs,
vehicles, and trees. Outdoor objects may be tossed about.
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Northern Aurora, northeastern Commerce City, Brighton, Denver
International Airport, D.I.A Terminal and Concourses, Fort Lupton,

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Colorado, including the
following county, Larimer. This includes the central portion of
the Cameron Peak burn scar.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 148 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Up to
0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pennock Pass and Glen Haven.
- This includes the following additional locations...
Box Prairie, Upper Buckhorn along County Road 44H, Moondance
Way, Stringtown Gulch, Lower Buckhorn on County Road 27 above
Masonville, Crystal Mountain, The Retreat and Storm Mountain.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of creeks and streams,
roads and roadside culverts in the affected part of the Cameron Peak
burn area. The heavy rains could also trigger rock slides or debris
flows.
