...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern Grand
County through 1015 PM MDT...
At 928 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Hot Sulphur Springs, or 59 miles west of Fort Collins,
moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, brief heavy rain and penny size
hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
East Troublesome burn scar, Trail Ridge and Grand Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Brief heavy rainfall, up to 0.25 inch in 30 minutes could produce
minor flooding in the East Troublesome burn scar. In addition,
prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Colorado, including the
following county, Larimer.
* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 631 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Masonville and Horsetooth Mountain.
- This includes the following additional locations...
Moondance Way, Stringtown Gulch, Big Bear, Lower Buckhorn on
County Road 27 above Masonville and Storm Mountain.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of creeks and streams,

North Central Grand County in north central Colorado for the
western East Troublesome Burn Area...
* Until 430 PM MDT.
* At 120 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.2 and 0.4 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.4 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the western East Troublesome Burn Area. The debris
flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
