* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following
counties, Denver and Jefferson.
* WHEN...Until 1145 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1022 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Bear Creek, Clear Creek, Dutch Creek and Turkey Creek.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Southwestern Denver, Lakewood, western Englewood,
southwestern Wheat Ridge, eastern Golden, Sheridan and
Pleasant View.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

At 642 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line along a line extending from 11 miles south of Akron to 14
miles north of Limon to 31 miles northeast of Colorado Springs.
Movement was east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, locally heavy rainfall, and
nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Limon, Elbert, Kiowa, Simla, Arriba, Genoa, Thurman, Arickaree

* Flash Flood Warning for...
The Cameron Peak burn scar in...
East Central Larimer County in north central Colorado...
* Until 600 PM MDT.
* At 256 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Cameron Peak Burn Scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch
of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Buckhorn Creek drainage. The debris flow can
consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms in and around
the Cameron Peak Burn Scar.

Scar.

to 8 miles north of Fort Collins. Movement was south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and nickel size hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Collins, northern Loveland, Timnath, Stove Prairie, Masonville,
