At 502 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Elbert, or 31 miles northeast of Colorado Springs, moving northeast at 30 mph. Additional thunderstorms will move out of El Paso County into Elbert County in the next 30 minutes or so, and these storm could also product penny size hail and gusty winds, along with frequent lightning. Penny size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm and other storms moving northeast out of El Paso County. Locations impacted include...
