Saturday over the mountains near and north of Rabbit Ears Pass...
.Snow will begin Friday afternoon, with some thundersnow possible
bringing localized heavy snow. Then Friday evening, it will become
more steady snow but winds will increase rapidly, plummeting wind
chill temperatures and reducing visibility in blowing snow.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to
15 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.
* WHERE...Rabbit Ears Pass.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute. Strong winds
could cause tree damage. The cold wind chills as low as 20
below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little
as 30 minutes.
