At 855 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported a landspout tornado at a few miles from Iliff from a storm currently near Crook, moving east at 25 mph. Conditions continue to favor the potential for landspouts as storms develop; however at this time it is unknown if this storm would produce a landspout. Any landspouts which develop are expected to pose a limited threat. This storm is also producing cloud-to-ground lightning and pea size hail. Locations impacted include... Ovid, Sedgwick, Crook, Proctor, Marks Butte and Twin Buttes. Landspout tornadoes can form with a developing thunderstorm before rain, hail, and even thunder is observed.
