The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a
* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
Central Larimer County in north central Colorado...
* Until 1100 AM MDT.
* At 910 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to a thunderstorm northwest of Masonville in the
Cameron Peak burn area. This will cause small stream flooding. A
quarter to half inch or rain has fallen in the last 30 minutes and
up to another quarter inch of rain is expected.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of Central Larimer County
This includes the following additional locations...
Moondance Way, Stringtown Gulch and Big Bear.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Sheep Creek and North Fork Fish Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of creeks and streams,
roads and roadside culverts in the affected part of the Cameron Peak
burn area. The heavy rains could also trigger rock slides or debris
flows.
Do not drive through flooded areas.
