northwestern Phillips and southwestern Sedgwick Counties through 1130
AM MDT...
At 1048 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles west of Fleming, or 14 miles northeast of Sterling, moving east
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous
travel.
Locations impacted include...
Haxtun and Fleming.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following
counties, Logan, Phillips and Sedgwick.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 458 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Holyoke, Julesburg, Haxtun, Fleming, Ovid, Iliff, Peetz,
Sedgwick, Crook, Paoli, Marks Butte, Fairfield, Twin Buttes,
