[F2p2partners] UDFCD's 2019 F2P2 ends today
by Kevin Stewart
Today, September 30, concludes our Flash Flood Prediction Program (F2P2) notification services for 2019 provided by Skyview Weather.
Emergency managers are encouraged to forward this email to your respective jurisdiction contacts including 911 communications.
Please keep in mind that the end of UDFCD's (now d/b/a MHFD) meteorological services does not mean that flash floods are no longer possible. While the potential will be decreasing from now on, it still exists, and your continued vigilance is recommended.
As always, we welcome your comments concerning this long-running program that is ending its 41st consecutive year.
Thank you all for your continuing support.

[F2p2partners] 2 more weeks of flood predictions from MHFD
by Kevin Stewart
Greetings F2P2 Partners.
With many of us enjoying the current weather patterns, we want to remind you that today we begin our final 2 weeks of flash flood prediction services for the 2019 flood season. This will conclude our 41st consecutive year of providing these services to the 7-county region. Your feedback on this program is always welcome and now may be a good time to consider your thoughts about 2019.
If you documented any significant floods or rainstorms this past year, we would appreciate receiving any notes, photographs or videos that you may have. By simply replying to this email, we will make a special effort to follow-up with you at a later date.
You may be interested to know that one of the largest storm/flood events this year occurred in September. We are in the process of documenting what happened on that Friday afternoon and early evening (Sept. 6) in Centennial and other locations. Any information you have concerning this day would be helpful. We used to think big events in September are unusual for this region. Remembering 2013...that opinion may have to change.
Thank you for all that you have done to help make our long-running program successful. We look forward to hearing from you.
Kevin Stewart, P.E.
