Dana McGlone and Dima Smirnov will share their professional perspectives on using complex atmospheric model ensembles to forecast flood potentials. They will also cover the basics on how to best make use the "QPF-Max" tool that has first introduced to our long-running flash flood prediction program in 2015. If you have used this tool in the past, you have likely noticed that this year's product has a new look. This training is designed to help you understand what has changed and get your questions answered. If you are unable to attend...no worries...the session will be recorded and made available to everyone. If you plan to attend, we would appreciate an RSVP. We are now at the midpoint of our 2021 flood season without any serious flooding impacts yet reported. With the Colorado monsoon season in full swing, please keep in mind that this is the time of year that flash floods are most likely, and on rare occasions highly destructive and deadly.
