A short training session is being offered by the District to introduce our F2P2 partners (you) to our newest meteorological services provider, HydroMet Consulting. Dana McGlone and Dima Smirnov will share their professional perspectives on using complex atmospheric model ensembles to forecast flood potentials. They will also cover the basics on how to best make use the "QPF-Max<https://qpf.mhfd.org/>" tool that has first introduced to our long-running flash flood prediction program in 2015. If you have used this tool in the past, you have likely noticed that this year's product has a new look. This training is designed to help you understand what has changed and get your questions answered. If you are unable to attend...no worries...the session will be recorded and made available to everyone. If you plan to attend, we would appreciate an RSVP. We are now at the midpoint of our 2021 flood season without any serious flooding impacts yet reported.
