* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, including
the following counties, in east central Colorado, Elbert. In
northeast Colorado, Adams and Arapahoe.
* WHEN...Until 700 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 434 AM MDT, Law enforcement reported flooding across
portions of Elbert and Adams counties. Between 1 and 3.5
inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
West Sand Creek, Gold Creek, Piney Creek, Bayou Gulch,
Running Creek, Kiowa Creek, Little Dry Creek, Horse Creek,
First Creek, Box Elder Creek, Dry Creek and Coal Creek.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eastern Aurora, Bennett, Elizabeth, Manila Village, Watkins
and Ponderosa Park.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Colorado, including the
following counties, Elbert and Lincoln.
* WHEN...Until 615 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 312 AM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Karval, Punkin Center, Forder, Wild Horse Point, Kutch and
Boyero.

Southeastern Lincoln County in east central Colorado...
* Until 330 AM MDT.
* At 243 AM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
Wild Horse Point, or 44 miles north of North La Junta, moving east
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Hail damage to
vehicles is expected.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Lincoln County.

shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 4.5 inches of rain
fell in the East Bijou Creek Basin in Elbert County Wednesday
evening.

The water will move northward from Elbert county and
eventually into portions of Arapahoe, Adams and Morgan
