I am writing to ask you to participate in a webinar to gather feedback on changes to how the NWS communicates weather information. The NWS is proposing to streamline and simplify our Watch/Warning Advisory system by eliminating all Advisory, Special Weather Statement (SPS), and Short Term Forecast (NOW) headlines. All the sub Watch/Warning level information would be conveyed in a single plain-language statement. NWS Headquarters has scheduled a series of interactive Partner Webinars to present these proposed changes and collect feedback. I ask that you participate in one of them.
