* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
The Weston Pass Burn Scar in West central Park County in central
Colorado...
* Until 330 PM MDT.
* At 223 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over the Weston Pass Burn Scar. This will cause
small stream flooding in the advisory area.
* Flooding will remain over the mainly rural areas of west central
Park County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move away from recently burned areas. Life threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

Warning FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, which is in effect
from noon today to 7 PM MDT this evening.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 212...215 and 218.
* Winds...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Timing...Westerly winds will increase and become gusty this
afternoon. Humidity levels will drop below 15 percent after 12
pm.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 13 percent.
* Impacts...New fire growth may start and spread rapidly and
result in dangerous fire behavior.

Northeastern Park County in central Colorado...
* Until 230 AM MDT.
* At 1204 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms from southeast of Jefferson to near Shawnee and
Bailey. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Over an inch of rain has already fallen in the area around forest
roads 127 and 128 about 5 miles southeast of Jefferson.
Thunderstorms will continue to bring rain to this area and
eastward toward Shawnee and Bailey for at least the next hour.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shawnee and Bailey.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
