MESSAGE 1'S WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 10:00 PM
-
Message 1's will be allowed to expire at 10:00pm since the threat
for heavy rainfall has come to an end.
-
A few lingering rain showers will be possible over the next couple
of hours favoring northern and western portions of the District around
Boulder and along the foothills. Typical rain showers will likely
produce TR-0.10" of total rainfall, although an isolated moderate rain
shower could produce 0.05-0.20" in 10-30 minutes. Partly cloudy skies
through the rest of the evening and overnight with lows dropping into
the upper 40's on the plains with low 40's along the foothills. Some
residual surface moisture, with dewpoints currently hovering around
50, will result in foggy/misty conditions overnight and into tomorrow
morning.
-
Tomorrow will start off partly cloudy and cool with afternoon
temperatures reaching the 60's on the plains with upper 50's for the
foothills. Rain showers will continue through the overnight out on the
southeastern plains with a chance for some shower activity to move
back into the District tomorrow morning. At this time, light to
moderate rain showers will be expected, although a slower moving
moderate shower, or an isolated heavy rain shower will keep a low
flood threat for tomorrow. A slight chance for continued rain
showers/isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon before skies clear
into Tuesday evening.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Typical rain showers could
produce a TR-0.10" in 10-30 minutes.
WORST CASE SCENARIO: A slower moving rain shower could produce
0.10-0.20" in 10-30 minutes.
