Should these storms maintain their current strength they will be capable of producing heavy rainfall within the District over the coming hours. - Best chances for stronger thunderstorms will be until around midnight but could linger into the early morning hours on Thursday. STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Typical rain showers and weak thunderstorms will produce a 0.1-0.5" of rainfall.
