MESSAGE 1'S CONTINUE VALID UNTIL 9:00 PM
-
Message 1's continue valid until 9:00pm as the potential for heavy
rainfall continues into the evening.
-
We are reaching the back end of prime time for storms with a final
round or two of showers and weak to moderate thunderstorms expected
over the next couple hours. Showers and thunderstorms will generally
propagate from W to E at 10-15mph.
-
Strong thunderstorms are less likely now that temperatures have
cooled into the 70's but even moderate storms will be capable of
producing brief heavy rainfall.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Rain showers will produce a
trace to 0.2" in 10-30 minutes. Weak to moderate thunderstorms will
produce rainfall rates of 0.3-0.9" in 10-30 minutes. Strong
thunderstorms will have the potential to produce 0.5-1.5" in 10-30
minutes.
WORST CASE SCENARIO: A large thunderstorm complex or a slow moving
large thunderstorm may result in up to 2.5" of rain in 45-75 minutes.
