MESSAGE 1'S WILL BE ALLOWED TO EXPIRE AT 8:30 PM
Message 1’s will be allowed to expire at 8:30 PM as the threat for
heavy rainfall has ended for the day.
Thunderstorms moved through the District earlier today and have since
moved eastward. Now that the atmosphere has churned and temperatures
are cooling the threat for thunderstorms has diminished significantly
and heavy rainfall is no longer expected. There could still be a few
lingering rain showers and possibly a very isolated weak thunderstorm
into the evening, but most areas will remain on the dry side for the
remainder of the evening and overnight period. Any additional rainfall
will be insignificant, less than 0.1”.
STORM RAINFALL POTENTIAL AND DURATION: Additional isolated light rain
showers may produce a trace to 0.1" of moisture through midnight.
