* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 259 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles southeast of Six Mile Campground to 6 miles
northwest of Granby, or along a line extending from 45 miles
southwest of Laramie to 57 miles southwest of Fort Collins, moving
east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

At 246 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking showers and thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Pearl to 6 miles north of Gould to
5 miles southeast of Williams Fork Reservoir, or along a line
extending from 62 miles northeast of Craig to 50 miles west of Fort
Collins to 65 miles west of Denver. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with these showers and
storms.
Locations impacted include...
Estes Park, Granby, Trail Ridge, Nederland, Kremmling, Fraser, Bear
Lake, Winter Park, Hot Sulphur Springs, Walden, Grand Lake,

.A hot ridge of high pressure to our south combined with an
increase in westerly flow aloft will bring critical fire danger
to much of the northern Colorado mountains and high valleys today.
Gusty winds and very low humidities are expected in the late
morning through the afternoon hours, before winds gradually
decrease early in the evening. There will be poor humidity
recovery tonight on ridges/thermal belts, but at least winds will
become light.
Hot and dry weather will remain in place through the weekend, but
winds are not expected to be as gusty.
