South Central Grand County in north central Colorado...
* Until 500 PM MDT.
* At 336 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Expect
flooding along Darling and Kinney Creek
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
mainly rural areas of South Central Grand County
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks, streams,

At 1252 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles south of Hot Sulphur Spring to 4 miles
west of Frisco, Movement was northeast at 25 mph.
Pea to Half inch hail and frequent lightning is expected with these
storms. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include...
Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Frisco, Fraser, Winter Park, Dillon,
Silver Plume, Berthoud Pass, Loveland Pass, Berthoud Falls,
Bakerville, Vail Pass, Keystone, Tabernash and Elkdale.

southeast portion of the East Troublesome burn area.
* Rainfall up to one quarter inch can be expected in 15 minutes.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

* At 222 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. There were two areas of heavy rainfall, one in the
Troublesome Creek basin, the other between Highways 125 and 34
north of Grand Lake. This will cause small stream flooding.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of Central Grand County
TROUBLESOME CREEK is the most likely place to experience minor
flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Heavy Rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks, streams,
and ditches in the East Troublesome burn area. Some areas affected
the Willow Creek valley along Highway 125, Drowsy Water Creek, and
the East Troublesome Creek valley. The heavy rains could also
trigger rock slides or debris flows.
