The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from noon today to 7 PM MDT this evening.
* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zones 211 and 217.
* Timing...Winds will increase with low humidity readings this
afternoon. Conditions will improve by 7 pm as winds decrease.
* Winds...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 10 percent.
* Impacts...Fires will be able to start easily and spread quickly
in the dry and breezy conditions. Avoid any burning or outdoor
activity that may produce a spark.

MDT...
At 954 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles west of Cherokee Park to 3 miles
northwest of Pinewood Springs to near Rollinsville, or along a line
extending from 27 miles south of Laramie to 23 miles southwest of
Fort Collins to 29 miles northwest of Denver. Movement was east at
40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Collins, southwestern Greeley, Thornton, northern Arvada,
Westminster, Boulder, Longmont, Loveland, Broomfield, northwestern

northwest of Silverthorne, or along a line extending from 57 miles
northeast of Craig to 60 miles east of Glenwood Springs. Movement was
east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

Highway 125, Drowsy Water Creek, and the East Troublesome Creek
valley. The heavy rains could also trigger rock slides or debris
flows.
