A line of rain is pushing up from the south with moderate rain and
gusty winds. As this rain encounters the cold temperatures stuck
under today's sharp inversion over the metro areas, the rain may
become sleet or fall as freezing rain onto cold pavement. This
will result in slick driving conditions and sidewalks. This line
should move out of the area by 5:30 PM.

...MAJOR WINTER STORM EXITING COLORADO...
.The snowfall intensities will continue to decrease during the
afternoon as the storm system moves into Kansas. Gusty northerly
winds will continue to create blowing snow and poor visibilities
with speeds up to 30 mph on the eastern plains. The winds and
falling snow will produce drifting snow and limiting visibility at
times. The blizzard warning however, will be downgraded to a
winter weather advisory as the winds and visibilities are
marginal.
Travel along the Front Range and in northeastern Colorado is
strongly discouraged until conditions improve later today. Major
highways and roads are closed east of Denver. Travel may be
impossible on rural roads and unplowed city streets.
