URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
337 PM MDT Fri Jun 5 2020
...DANGEROUS FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH HIGH WINDS SATURDAY AND
SUNDAY...
.Winds will increase significantly Saturday as a storm system
moves across the state. While humidity levels will be higher than
Red Flag criteria, the strength of winds at 30-40 mph with gusts
around 60 mph would be more than sufficient to create danger fire
conditions and rapid fire spread. Red Flag Warnings were issued
where fuels are driest, or have been reported to carry fire
recently. Most mountain and foothill areas should see a period of
rain to alleviate fire danger Saturday.
Sunday will be drier in all areas, and fire danger will be
high once again with gusty winds. Fire highlights may need to be
expanded into the foothills and South Park.
