The National Weather Service in Denver Colorado has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Lincoln County in east central Colorado...
* Until 845 PM MDT.
* At 811 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 16 miles north of
Haswell, or 42 miles south of Flagler, moving east at 15 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR EXTREME SOUTHEAST LINCOLN COUNTY.
HAZARD...Three inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Lincoln County.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM MDT for east central
Colorado.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to shelter inside a strong building, and stay away from
windows.
